Thanks so much to Julie and Nancy who were able to stay help count the donations. Thought you might want to know what the generous parishioners of St. Thomas donated for these children who need our help:

There were:

70 boxes of 24 crayons, and 3 boxes of 64 crayons
73 pkg. pens
178 one subject spiral notebooks, and 8 multi subject notebooks
33 pkg. of notebook paper
100 pkg. of pencils
2 pencil boxes
4 pouches
16 boxes of kleenex, and 23 packets of kleenex
4 hand santizer wipes
9 boxes of clips and pushpins
79 duo folders
25 scissors
107 glue sticks, an 14 bottles of glue
5 binders
15 composition notebooks
12 pkg. of construction paper
10 pencil sharpeners
24 pkg. of stickers
3 compasses
1 protractor
4 calculator
26 pkg. of erasers
1 memo book
4 index cards
21 pkg. of markers
26 pkg. of highlighters
16 colored pencils

And a partidge in a pear tree!! (Well, not really!)

WOW! Thanks so much, everyone! Deacon Anna took the items to the school on Tuesday, as I understand it.

And, Anna, we are determining now how much money we have for the uniforms. That information will be forthcoming. Thanks so much for all you have done to make this happen.

COURTYARD GARDEN PARTY & DINNER

On June 13, 2009, the Kitchen Crew is hosting a dinner for the Parish. Per Pam Gilliland, these are the details:

7:00 pm Courtyard Garden Party

Four course dinner with wine

$10 per person donation; donations will cover food expenses, and all proceeds above food costs then go to fund an icemaker for the kitchen.

Feel free to invite other household members, friends and co-workers.
