Presiding Bishop to Visit St. Thomas in April

Harry Anderson, Senior Warden, announced today that The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori, has accepted our invitation to visit St. Thomas the Apostle in late April. Bishop Stanton has given her his permission to be here.

Plans for what and when are in the early stages. She will not be here on a Sunday so be prepared to skip work or get off early. Thanks to Harry for his vision and "thinking big" which brought this great opportunity to fruition.

Plan to Attend the St. Thomas Community Garden All-Parish Meeting!

With the arrival of the new year, we will begin the serious work of preparing our Community Garden for planting of vegetables by early March. We've made a lot of initial progress, but now’s the time to shift into high gear.

The Garden Organizing Committee will have its first meeting of 2008 on Wednesday Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in the South Room. All members of the Parish are invited to attend, whether or not you have been involved before. Come hear about all the exciting plans for the garden and help us get things growing!
