Blessing of the animals will take place on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6TH AT 12:30 P.M. in the garden. Chicks, ducks, geese, horses, snakes, birdies and even some kitties and pooches are all invited to be among our guests of honor in the spirit of Sts. Francis and Clare. Francis wrote a Canticle of the Creatures, an ode to God’s living things. “All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures.” And there was testimony in the cause for St. Clare of Assisi’s canonization that referred to her little cat!
God loves all creatures. Saturday we celebrate that, and them. And we bless them. So trot, gallop, scamper, hop, slither, fly or simply drive or stroll on down this Saturday at 12:30pm for a prayer and a blessing, and maybe even some treats. Walkies, anyone?

The Wayfarers -- a contemplative prayer, study and practice group in the ancient Christian tradition.The group is facilitated by St. Thomas Curate, Rev. Christianne McKee and guest facilitators -- Wayfarers will continue regular gatherings on every other Thursday evening, starting Thursday January 10, 2008 at 6:30 pm at St. Thomas. Brochures are available in the narthex of the church.
