VESTRY

CONVENTION DELEGATE

TRUSTEE OF THE ENDOWMENT FUND


On Sunday, December 2, 2007, during the Annual Meeting, we will elect three new members of the vestry; one delegate to diocesan convention; and one trustee of the endowment fund, all for three-year terms. To be eligible to serve a person must be at least 18 years old, a confirmed Episcopalian and a “giver of record” for at least one year, per the diocesan canons.

Vestry members, convention delegates & trustees of the endowment fund are parishioners who:

  • Are actively involved in the programs, activities, and spiritual life of the parish.
  • Regularly attend worship services unless prevented for good cause.
  • Willing to practice “proportionate giving” with an awareness of the tithe as the Biblical standard of giving.
  • Have an interest in the connection between the life of the parish, the life of the diocese and national church and be willing to work to make those connections stronger.
  • Be open to serving on parish committees.
  • Attend meetings related to their ongoing work.

Please discuss these responsibilities and expectations with each person whom you wish to nominate to ensure that each nominee is eligible and willing to serve if elected. Those completing three-year terms are ineligible this year.

After determining a person’s eligibility and willingness to serve, please fill in the following and return it to the rector or the office by November 18th.
